Preacher’s House

Built in 1902, Preacher’s House is the oldest house on the creek. Our most charming unit, this vacation rental sleeps up to six people in its various rooms and alcoves. Families—especially those with young children—love this space. Walk up a flight of stairs into the fully outfitted kitchen and you’ll discover a warm, inviting space. A step down into the living room and you’re in a separate room with a queen sofa bed, a small propane fireplace, and panoramic views of Thomas Basin and Creek Street. Upstairs is a small bedroom with a queen bed and views of the harbor. Adjacent to this room is a small sitting room and alcove opening into a room with two twin beds and a small work desk. The back entrance opens up to a path into a quiet wooded area behind the hustle and bustle of Stedman Street. During the summer months we outfit this space with an A/C unit to keep it comfortable year-round. There is a larger washer and dryer located in the bathroom for guests to use. Once a small bookstore, Preacher’s House has charm and character that guests adore. Book early, as this unit is often sold out during the summer months.
